I've been a Musselwhite fan since his first album, and as I moved from the "Oh Suzanna" stage in the early 70s, Musselwhite was a tremendous influence on me. I really can't think of enough great things to say about Charlei, musically or personally. However, the last two or three times I've seen him, he really has looked like hes got as bad a case of road weariness as you can have and still tour.

I don't have any idea what his financial cituation is, but if he can afford it, I think he'd do himself a tremendous favor to take a year off from touring and recording. I'd be willing to wager that we'd all get a much more energetic and enthusiastic Musselwhite after a sabbatical.
