Subject: Beginner, bending problems.

Hi all. Although I've been playing a while, I just barley got serious about
learning blues-type harp. All I had really done before is accompany myself
on guitar while playing Neil Young songs, and I don't think anyone has ever
accused Neil of being the world's best harmonia player.

Anyway, I am having the exact same problem as someone who posted a few days
ago, and I guess many beginners go through it. I can bend the notes, but it
takes a lot of force and is fairly uncontrolled. Also, I cannot hit the
deepest bends. Untill today I was playing a Golden Melody, but today I
bought a Lee Oscar. With it I don't use as much force, but the bend is
extremely uncontrolled and, frankly, sounds like crap. Besides that, the
reed sometimes rattles against the casing.

I've visited many web pages and checked a book I have, but I'm still not
getting anywhere. Can anyone give me some advise, or perhaps point me to a
good web site with a very in-depth description of how to bend properly?

Thanks.
