It's the initial attack, which needs to choke off the closing reed. Try
hissing like an angry cat to start the OB.

Play what you like to hear. Howard Levy uses that technique to get
double-stops that can't be gotten any other way.. down on the low end,
around 2 or 3.. maybe someone remembers from his recent Masterclass?

It might be "back pressure" from a tight hand cup. Try opening your
hands and see if it still happens.
