Subject: Begin The Beguine

Well all this talk about overblows and diatonic vs. chromatic inspired me
to take a stab at my own "singing barbarian" recording. Yes I am guilty of
every deficiency you can name -- my overblows are a little flat, they honk
and stand out like sore thumbs, sometimes I do them just because I can!
Guilty, guilty, guilty. But you know, sometimes I just want to have fun so
sue me if you don't like it! :-)

Recently my axe of choice for diatonic chromaticity has been the Spanish
Spiral. But my Spanish Spiral died and while I await a new one from Pat
Missin (having sent several harps to the graveyard trying to make this
difficult tuning myself) I have been doodling around with 1st position
Richter.

Now if you want to hear what a virtuoso can do with overblows, go listen to
Carlos Del Junco or Howard Levy. But if you want an idea of how an
aspiring beginner aounds, then click here:

(But first make sure you have a recent version of the Windows Media Player).

I'm playing a key of G Golden Melody in 1st position. The accompaniment is
Band-In-A-Box 8.0.
