The 16th annual Chicago Blues Festival will run from Thursday June 3 through Sunday June 6, 1999. But it's Friday 6/4 that looks to be the one that's got it goin' on for blues harp lovers. This full day and night of free live blues is being billed, "Remembering Jr. Wells". A partial line-up includes: James Cotton, Billy Branch, The Jr.Wells Tribute band featuring Lee Oscar (that seems a bit unusual to me, but that's what the billing says - anybody know of this unit?), Dave Meyers and His New Aces, Robert Jr. Lockwood, The Kim Wilson Blues Review (headliner) and more!
