Subject: amp modification

At http://www.u.arizona.edu/~acruhl/sf_bf_mod.htm is an article about
changing a silverface into a blackface Fender amp. I wonder whether
somebody has done this and with what result. I have a 1973 Fender
bassman100. I like the sound, buit if I can vreate a sound more like the
blackface without too much trouble and costs, I maybe want to try to do
so.
