A country tuned harp will also give you the fifth scale degree in sixth
position(B) and also makes that arabic stuff in seventh position(F#) easier
with the tonic readily available. Not to mention playing in a major key in
third position(D)...

Since were talking about playing in a minor ...

On a C diatonic:

For all around .. basic minor playing, I play in fourth pos (Am). For
minor-country sounding stuff I play in fifth(Em) and the real bluesy stuff in
third pos(Dm). But it will still depend on the chord changes involved before
I pick a certain positon over another one.
