Subject: A Question from English Harmonica Player

Dear Listers,

Thought I would post this question to the Harp-l, seeing as this is the best
source for answers to questions like this.

I was hoping you might be able to help me with a little problem I'm having.
Can't seem to find anyone in London who even has the slightest idea what
I'm talking about.....

Reason I'm writing is that I've been gigging with a Shure Green Bullet for
the first time this weekend and have been getting REALLY bad feedback on
it. The guys I was playing with suggested that I spend some money and
either buy a new mic, or get a pre-amp with an EQ so I could tune the
frequencies out that are feeding back.

After the gigs, I tried out the mic on a load of other Amps and it still
fed back, no matter how close I was standing.

Have you ever heard of this before? Do I need a new mic? If so, why, when
they're pretty much the standard? If I need a pre-amp, can you recommend me
one? Or is it just how I'm holding the thing?
