Subject: Annie Raines on "Moving To The Country"

I've been giving a friend of mine harp lessons for quite a while and he
is a fine student, and teching someone also helps me think a little more
about my own playing. Often he will play some things for me and ask what
position, key etc. And until he payed the above song I could not be stumped.
The song is in D. Sometimes it sounds like third pos. but there re sme
lower notes and a double stop that is not on a C harp. What harp and/or
positiob is he playing?

P.S. I later redeemed myself in the eyes of my student. He took a lesson from
Lynwwod Slim and Slim told him he had to play wooden combed harps. This guy
is a die-hard Oskar guy. I am a die-hard traditionalist EXCEPT when it comes
to harps. Special 20s all the way. He played the same licks on 3 different
harps and asked which harps are which. I said "I'm sure I'm wrong, but the
first one was a Lee Oskar, the second a Special 20 and the third a Marine
Band." I knocked myself out, I was right,
