Subject: Re: another 64 contest

Hohner 64 Chromonica. I have a vintage 1950's that has to be the
sweetest sounding chro I ever played - but it needs an amp unless the
dog is sleeping. Another, 70's model, is great with less metal around
the slide bar.

The only Hering I own is a 12 holer, 501P, and the thinner sound doesn't
excite me. I don't know about the sound of the reeds on the Hering 16
holer since I never played one. I am reluctant to spend the bucks since
the 501 is not my favorite.

Anyone give a personal experience comparison of the Hering and Hohner 64's?

Bill
