Subject: Banjo Gus

Harpers -

I intended to stay out of this strain until this afternoon when my wife
and I attended a the Long Island Fiddle and Folk Festival at Stony Brook
University in Stony Brook, Long Island (NY). The festival was great and
many super folk players (no harp). All was great until I saw a guy
sitting on a short brick divider playing his banjo. I was delighted to
see all the people around him slowly get up and walk away. It was a
shame, too, because it was an outside event on the grass and most of the
seating areas were taken up. He was only about 50 yards away from the
circular stage but, fortunately, to the rear and left of it.

So harpers are not the only musicians plagued with Guses!
