Hi All,
Well, I have been watching some of our "Gus" threads pretty closely and we are getting out of hand. As a group we definitely have feelings about the appropriateness of "gussing" others' performances, but some of us seem to have gotten too caught up in the most recent posts on the subject. As a result we have heard some rather heated comments that we can easily avoid. Let's drop this thread for a short period and take some time to regroup our thoughts with more intelligence and less passion. Obviously, many of us feel strongly that certain habits and actions diminish the general perception of harmonica and harmonica players as a group and there is no reason not to voice that opinion, but there is also no need to lose our temper. It is inappropriate to publicly voice opinions on what kind of a "person" one feels a particular poster may be due to actions we have not actually witnessed ourselves. It is probably way too quick a judgement as well. For now we should let this issue drop and try to focus on other issues important to the harmonica. Thanks,
