Subject: *** Harp On! Amendments ***

Gidday,
Well, I've had a busy time of late.

A big thankyou to Richard Martin & Doug Tate for pointing out the drawbacks
in the Tongue block technique I had described on my site.
It was somewhat mysterious how they emailed me almost simultaneously, yet
totally independantly.

As a result I have found that the TB technique I have used up until now,
although not entirely bad could be improved on. After reducing my
embouchure and relocating the tip of my tongue I have gained a lot more
control & speed over my playing and it has also increased my ability to bend
notes quickly on the diatonic. That in itself is something to be grateful
for. Thankfully it didn't take long to adjust to this technique.

So I have spent the better part of tonight rewriting the tongue blocking
section of Harp On!.
Anyone who has been learning how to play chromatic harp from Harp On!, I
strongly recommend you revisit the "Playing Chrom" page and reread the
Tongue Block section. I am sorry if I have previously mislead you, I am
having to relearn this technique too - I strongly rely on pre-published
feedback to make sure what I put up is accurate or useful - but sometimes
its the most basic things that get overlooked.

Also since the new year I have had troubles with updating the Angelfire
mirror, also its running out of space - so if you use the Angelfire link it
will now simply push you to my main site after a short delay, if not, click
on the link.

I'm getting up to 36 individual visitors a day, so thankyou for your support
and enthusiasm, I really enjoy getting the encouraging emails, and
appreciate the suggestions and corrections.

Harp On!
