Subject: another thaddeus hogarth fan...

paul farmer and jr ross have sung the praises of hogarth's album when the sun
goes down, and i'd like to throw my mighty influence behind it, too.
hogarth plays really good stevie type chrom on half a dozen cuts (including
stevie's "big brother"). if that's the only reason you buy it, i don't think
you'll be disappointed. he's also a really good writer and arranger and a
good singer. vintage instrumental touches (hammond b3, fender rhodes,
wah-wah guitar), some jazzy flute, r&b sax. very much reminiscent of
seveties r&b...stevie again, but also bill whithers, hot chocolate, and gil
scott-heron.
i've played it three times in three days...
