Subject: 3rd hole on A harp

Question:
I have a Huang Silvertone A harp. I haven't played it much yet, but I'm
noticing that hole 3 is kind of hard to get a real sharp transition in the
sound between a blow and a draw, I find that when I try to rapidly go
between draw and blow on hole 3, I can only get a sound if I blow real soft.
I'm listening to Rick Estrin play a lick where he does this transition, and
he plays both notes really hard, right on the beat, with no fading or
hissing. Is this just the Huang harp? Or do all A harps have this issue? Or
is the reed just clogged from too much dried spit? Or is there some special
technique?

Thanks,
Dave
