Subject: all the tuning help

- --------------89A4D9F778565C107BFC282A

Thanks to all who offered me advice and commentary - on and off
list - about my fantasy of tuning my "harsh" CX-12. This is the
friendliest list I have been on!

Talk about going round the world to get to your back yard: I
found that harp-l member Peter Elder teaches and works with harps
right down the road from me (a mile or two, but I go by there all the
time). I am going to see him Friday and get a first-hand opinion
before deciding whether to try my hand at this. Right now, I tend to
want to send it to one of the list's acknowledged masters of harp
tinkering - what with tuners, micropore tape, valve replacement, and
"what kind of tuning do you want?". This is a hobby, not a career
change!

But I love the opportunity to learn more, whether I can use the
knowledge or not. No such thing as wholly useless knowledge in my
book.
