It's interesting praise since Adler in his autobiography says something like, 'all blues players are terrible, except Bob Dylan who's worse'. Adler is a great musician and for Terry to win his praise says a lot. I wonder if Adler gave many of the diatonic players a fair listen. I bet that it is just not his kind of music. Nobody does Gershwin on diatonic.
Adler considers himself the greatest chromatic player alive and Terry the greatest diatonic player. (At the time his book was written, Terry is no longer alive).
