Subject: An idea

Greetings Harpers:

I have been thinking about this idea for a while
but with little math, design, or electronic skills I
am not sure how to pull it off. It got started by
watching CNN and saw a band playing in Japan silently.
People who wanted to listen sat down in chairs and
plugged a headset in and could listen to the band
playing. But passerbyes heard nothing. It got me
thinking what if you could do that with the harp - not
so much for playing purposes but for practicing. It
wouldn't matter what time it was you could do it in
the middle of a meeting (if there are a lot of people)
or when your family is asleep. A few hickups though -
first the harp needs air flowing in and out to play.
There has to be some way of muffling that so it will
give a natural note (stenght, tone, etc) but you will
hear little or none of it outside of the earphones.
Second is the placement of the jack. Cupping, and
whatever else could play havoc on where to put it.
Next would be the microphone I am sure there are tiny
ones with good quality but I am sure also they cost a
lot of money. Any suggestions or a brave soul to
attempt a prototype?????
