Subject: Bassman Speakers

I had those "tired of miking my small amp" blues...
Bought myself a '59 Bassman (not a reissue).
The original cabinet was shot. The chassis was installed
in a Rogers' exact replica and there are 2 Jensen P10R's
(from a late '60's Vibrolux) and 2 Mojos in it now.
Those Mojo's got to go....

My '62 Ampeg ReverboRocket has the original Jensen C12R
in it and I love that Ceramic sparkle. It also seems to keep it's
teeth when pushed hard. I am seriously leaning toward replacing
all four mis-matches with ceramics.

My Question to you all is, "does anyone have any experience
with Weber or Jensen reissue C10Q or C10R in a late 50's
Bassman?" Or more broadly, "what speakers would you
recommend installing in this jewel?"

I have a full, warm trumpet sound, do lots of organ type rhythm
work (think B-3) with chords and intervals, puncuated with
percussive riffs. I need a speaker with good low end and quick
response so that my more subtle playing articulations are not lost.
It is also important that the speaker sound good at a club volume.

Any advice?

Malcohm
