ADAM GUSSOW (Satan & Adam, Mister Satan's Apprentice) is giving a blues harmonica workshop on SUNDAY, 2/20, at World Tribal Sounds (340 E. 6th St. (between 1st and 2nd Aves.), New York City--also known as "Indian Restaurant Row") from 12 to 1:30 PM. Beginners are welcome, but more advanced players are also encouraged to attend. We'll talk about a range of chordal and single-note techniques, tone production (how to get that powerful, effortless vibrato you've been dreaming of), tongueing, triplet patterns, upper-register playing, overblowing, tuning your harps with a jewelers file, amping the harp, etc. ALL THE MYSTERIES WILL BE REVEALED! Cost? Only $15. Bring a diatonic harp, key of C. (Other keys optional but welcomed.)
