Subject: Big River Harps

I bought one of these in Bb, just to try out.

Great sounding harp. Nice and thick mouthpiece and upper end sounds like a
charm.

I remember reading good things about them in John Thaden's book, but I never
thought to try one, since I always assumed Special 20's were better, I guess
because of price.

Anyone else have any comments on them.

Before I go out and buy a 7 key set or something, is this one typical or
maybe I got lucky and got a really good Big River?

I'm thinking they would go well with my 7 key set of Golden Melodies, since
GM's are straight tuned, and I take it BR's are just intonation?

It makes getting a Mark Lavoie Big River with the Vermont wood comb more
attractive than I thought it would be at first.

And I can get replacement reeds too? Bonus.
