Subject: Best source for '59 Bassman RI?

I ready to purchase a '59 Bassman RI -- or equivalent.

I've received pricing from two of the largest music stores in my area. One
had a price of $899.95 (plus shipping; they don't have any in stock). The
other place was slightly higher -- but said they would match their
competitor's price.

This leads to a few questions:

Is this a fair (best) price?

Is there some other source out there (on-line, whatever) selling these amps
at a significantly lower price?

Should I be considering some other amp in this price range ($750 to $1000)?
I own a SF Champ, and now want to step up to a tube combo with 40W - 50W of
power.
