Subject: Re: Bushman cover scratches

Scratches around your Bushman's bolt heads can be touched up with a black
Sharpie permanent marker--by no means a perfect glossy match, but adequate
around the edges of the bolt heads, especially in the kind of lighting you
find in bars. I wouldn't use it on the working surfaces that go in the
mouth, of course. A good Bushman habit to develop the first time you take
the covers off is to hold the top bolt motionless and only turn the bottom
one. That way any scratching is confined to the bottom side where you don't
have to look at it (or the touchup). Harp Depot is offering all the Bushman
parts at reasonable prices, so you can replace covers if something
catastrophic happens or put Bushman cover bolts on MS Hohners, etc.
