FENDER BLUES JUNIOR:

I have been using one now for over a year. You have to replace the 2

12AX7 tubes or else you will get feedbac~a volume of 3-4. I use a 12AY7

for the first tube, 12AT7 for the second tube. I can crank up the volume to
8

before feedback with a Green Bullet/Dan-echo combo and the master volume

wide open. The BJ's reverb is worthless as far as I am concerned and I don't

use it, therefore the Dan-echo. At first I wasn't happy with the BJ's tone
but

it seems that with use it only gets better. It could be the 12" speaker

breaking in or maybe my tone is improving with age too. Lately I love

this amp's raw blues tone, it's easy to overdrive, has good bass response
and it

really barks when pushed. At one point I was ready to sell the BJ but now I

wouldn't part with it. For $300.00 I don't know if you can find a better
"new"

amp with a 5 year warranty. They seem to be holding their value too. Used

BJs on Ebay usually go for $275-325. I bought mine on sale for $300 new.

All and all I think the Blues Junior offers a lot of bang for the buck.
