Subject: Chords on tremolo

I have been playing tremolo for a bit, and am fascinated with one
basic truth: I can get chords on tremolo that I cannot get on
diatonic.

I don't know the names of the chords. I just know that for every
mouth position (excepting the extremes of the two ends), I have seven
chords, which I at this time contemplate as "middle", "left", "right",
"right-up", "right-down", "left-up", and "left-down". The "up" and
"down" elements correspond to tilts of the instrument; the "left" and
"right" elements refer to partial movement either left or right away
from the "middle" chords. When I occasionally use a diatonic, I find
that I can do "middle", "left", and "right", but the others are
absent.

I play strictly intuitively, except when I have to sync with other
instruments or vocal initial notes etcetera. So I haven't tried to
find out what all of those additional notes are. I do know that there
are many accidentals I can't touch on tremolo; this is why I am now
embarking into chromatic, because a primary focus I have is working
closely with clear vocals. What I want to know is:

Has anyone here seen these same patterns, and if so, do you understand
more about them than above, and have you found ways to do more?
