Subject: (NC)Taxes, bands, and claiming mileage

Sorry if this has been asked already, and then summarily dismissed from the
list, but I might as well ask where the answer can be found:

On my taxes, if I'm claiming mileage for my gigs, can I claim for in-town
mileage and out of town? My guitarist had told me once "no" for in-town,
but today my bassist is saying "yes."

Can I, or can't I? Any other things I might be able to claim that I'm not
thinking of (I already have equipment new and depreciated, CDs)
