well, i used to just guess ;) but when i got a tuner, (Korg c-30, i think) i
realized right away that that wasn't working out quite as well as i thought
it was ;) i still have a tendency to be off when i'm really getting into it
(playing, that is) but now i can just flip on the tuner and 7 or so times
out of 10 i can nail the pitch dead on without a "warmup". the other cool
thing is that with the tuner i can play with making the pitch a little flat
(which sound bluesier to me) or a little sharp.
