I agree with John Frazer. When it comes to taxes; don't assume. You know where that can lead. Ask an expert. If your tax guy can't handle it; then what's the point of having him? He should know how to handle questions about deductions and what constitutes a legitimate expense; providing that is what you are shooting for. I think I may skip the "free advice" thing. I would rather pay someone who can take the heat if he is screwing up or be able to explain to the IRS guy what the rationale is. Hopefully; that won't happen. As far as a club being your place of business; I don't know. I think your home could be designated as a place of business. I mean; If I am a plumber; is your house MY place of business or do I run all that stuff through my office? (wherever I may choose to have it) This is another place not to assume. Make sure you have the right definition of home and business. It's no secret that one persons definition (say like hmm how the word "virtuoso" is defined heh heh ) may differ from another. It's like "liberal" and "conservative." Pretty much means nothing until you define it. Much like "multiculturalism") but I digress... But in this case you want to be in line with Big Brother. None of this is any revelation; just common sense. Which at times is ok to be reminded with. But if someone wants to be a hard-head and do whatever. So be it. Suffer the consequences right along with it. Nah; no one would do that would they?
