Here's another amp I got up for sale. I recently have managed to find a cool 2X10 with reverb, and I must let this beauty up for sale. Here's the lowdown on the amp for all who are considering:
A 1969 Fender Princeton Amp Model # AA964. Amp has the aluminum border around grillcloth that only 1968 and 1969 Fender amps ever had! Pots date to 16th week of 1969. Amp is 100% original except for some reason it has an original 1965 Fender Oxford speaker (code # 465-575) which is actually a plus! Amp still has ALL of it's original "FACTORY" RCA tubes Flashings are in great shape and tubes appear to have plenty of life left. The cord has been replaced with a 3 prong for the your safety. The amp is crystal clear with absolutely no hum truly has some killer tone to boot. I have photos of the amp on request ,which show a couple of tears on the grill cloth. The other thing about this amp is that it has different tube layout than of any other Fender Princeton I have seen. The amp's rectifier tube is a GZ34, instead of a 5Y3 ( but for some reason it came with a stock 5U4 instead). The other tubes ( 2-6V6's, 2- 12AX7's) are standard. This is a cool amp, it allows you to turn up past 5 and 6 without feedback (and tube swaps), its real easy to work with ( which I find rare for most Princeton's I have played), and also as anything else I sell, it is gig ready! My asking price for the Amp is $350. This amp WILL be shipped by either Fed Ex or UPS. It WILL be Insured and also it will be packed in a Bubble wrap cocoon to protect it from ogres and thugs who idea of delicacy is based on Conan movies. The shipping is included in the cost so there is no extra charge.
This is a sweet little amp guys, and for the money its hard to beat. I am only getting rid of it because I have some costs to cover, I hate to see this go because its truly unique, but I want someone to get it who needs a gigging amp, and will truly use it.
