They feature a special dust cap that diffuses the high end response helping
to
eliminate feedback. Though it can be placed on most any stock Weber speaker
model,
Weber suggests certain of their models are more suitable for harp use with
these
dust caps, these are:

(I'm using the old Weber speaker designations since they've just instituted
a new
model numbering system which I have yet to learn.)

8" P8R, P8Q, C8R, C8Q also available in the cheaper "Signature series"
10" P10R, P10Q, P10N, P10NR, C10R, C10Q, C10N, C10NR, Signature series also
12" P12R, P12Q, P12N, P12QR, P12NR, C12R, C12Q, C12N, C12QR, C12NR,
signature
series also
15" P15R, P15NR, C15R, C15NR

Ted had been involved also with the original development of the Sonny Jr.
speaker,
and had consulted with several harp players that included I think a few guys
on
this list, including myself, to develop his new "H" series harp speakers. I
think
it's still an ongoing process.
Ted has told me that user feedback and his own assesment has been that the
following models seem to be the best and most popular so far:
8" P8RS"H" Signature Series
10" P10R"H" for low power and multi-speaker applications
10" P10NR"H" & C10NR"H" for high power single speaker applications
12" C12N"H"
15" P15NR"H"

I would tend to agree with his assesment. The "P" or Alnico types are
considerably
more expensive than their "C" ceramic counterparts especially with the NR
hybrid
models. The Alnico's are lighter in weight than the ceramic counterparts
and is
something to consider with a larger multi-speaker cab, such as a tweed
Bassman,
Concert or Super Reverb.
Should note that these are the same price as the stock guitar speaker
counterparts. Also I think Ted is offering to sell very cheaply, new "H"
dustcaps
for previous Weber purchasers to install on their old Weber speakers.

Don't take my word exactly on all of this, contact Weber to get the details.
Any
of you, that purchase the new "H" speakers, check back here on Harp-L and
let us
know what you think.

Regards,
Don D.
