Subject: Blues Guide Tones

Does anyone use the technique of following Blues Guide Tones when
improvising? I've heard that the use of guide tones is fairly wide-spread
among jazz improvisors and was wondering if I've missed the boat, as if if
that'd be unusual -!!. My improvising is stiff over the IV chord, at
best.......been asked a couple times after jamming, "which door did you say
you were leaving through?"....lol........nobody offered me a rose garden,
that's fer sure.....ha...anyway, if Blues Guided Tones is a solid technique,
I'd sure appreciate some information regarding their use, howto know what
they are, and stuff........thanks,

Vadie............
