Subject: but Mr Popper...

Yup I "get" Poppers opinion that he is a musician and not just a harp
player....doesnt want to go to harmonica conventions etc.....but he doesnt
mind having a Hohner Harmonica endorsement deal and his picture with the
Hohner logo on many music store harmonica displays...
because he is a GREAT HARMONICA player! Just like Clarence Clemmons was
credited with bringing solo tenor sax lines back to mainstream rock radio
Popper brought the harp back to the radio...Thanks John! I agree.. make
emotional real music, but you dont have to minimize the importance &
interest the role the harp has had for you and your fans.

Substitute the word guitarist and many of his opinions still make
sense...plenty of guitar players have the "who's the best" gunfighter
attitude also, not just harp players.... in fact it really applies to any
instument. It's an attitude thing more than an instument thing...dig?
Mr Popper you are a hell of a musician but lighten up dude!

BTW did I really say "dig?!" :-)
