Subject: brief rant

Scales, modes, vibratos, tremulants, overblows, gapping, tuning, who's
got time to do all this? I won't deny the importance of any of this, but
with work and family, it's essential to pick and choose. What do I have
to practice and work on, what can I let slide?

I use Lee Oskars, right out of the box, no gapping, no tuning. They
respond well to my playing technique. They're consistent. They're loud.
Yes, loud. I need loud harps.I love playing loud.

I think that tuning harps and gapping them is not relevant for my style
of music. Of course I thought this about tongue blocking, about lip
blocking, and thought this about working on my #3 bend. Working on these
vastly improved my range and tone.

Damn. I suppose I must now peruse the archives and actually take the back
off one of my harps.
